Cinema Augusta/Kadina Cinema Newsletter

March 10th, 2026
By Michelle Coles
Hello friends!

Looking for the perfect way to unwind? Step into the cinema, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the latest films on the big screen. We’ve got a fantastic lineup waiting for you this week.

Step aside, proper period dramas, FACKHAM HALL (M) is here to ruin the etiquette. Packed with rapid fire gags, outrageous characters, and a scandalously silly take on aristocratic life, this comedy turns the stately manor genre completely upside down. Critics say it’s “packed with nonstop gags,” and audiences are laughing along with every ridiculous twist. If you love bold, unapologetically goofy comedy, Fackham Hall is the wild night at the manor you don’t want to miss.

Based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover, REMINDERS OF HIM (M) hits the big screen! the emotional drama stars Maika Monroe as Kenna Rowan, a young mother returning home after prison determined to rebuild her life and reconnect with the daughter she’s never met. As she faces judgment from the community, an unexpected bond with local bar owner Ledger offers hope for redemption, forgiveness and a second chance at love.

Cheer on an underdog with GOAT (PG), a family-friendly animated sports comedy from Sony Pictures Animation. The film follows Will, a small goat with big dreams of playing roarball, a high-intensity, full contact sport, as he sets out to prove that “smalls can ball!” With a star-studded voice cast including Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jennifer Hudson and Stephen Curry (who also co-produced), GOAT delivers laughs, heart and inspiration for the whole family.

Its your last chance to see THE BRIDE! (MA), a bold re-imagining of the classic Bride of Frankenstein tale. Set in 1930s Chicago, the film stars Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as Frankenstein’s monster. After Dr. Euphronious brings a murdered woman back to life, an unexpected romance and radical upheaval unfold that neither creator nor creation could have imagined.

Nothing compares to the big screen, the sound, the atmosphere, the magic of being fully immersed in a story. It’s a chance to escape, unwind, and experience film the way it’s meant to be seen.

So Sit back relax and take a couple of hours out of your week to let us tell you a story and take you on a journey through our BIG screen!!

We're sure you won't regret it!!

MOVIES FOR THIS WEEK:!

REMINDERS OF HIM (M) Screening this Thursday!
After prison, Kenna attempts to reconnect with her young daughter but faces resistance from everyone except a bar owner with ties to her child.

GOAT (PG)
The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”

FACKHAM HALL (M)
A spoof that crosses Downton Abbey with Flying High and Monty Python, Fackham Hall follows lovable pick-pocket Eric Noone as he lands a job at a unique English manor house. He quickly rises through the ranks, and a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport blossoms. But when an unexpected murder occurs, Eric gets framed - leaving Rose and her family’s future perilously uncertain.

THE BRIDE (MA) FINAL SESSIONS
A lonely Frankenstein (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!
